7 reasons to get a Hungary Residence Permit
A Hungary residence permit is issued to financially independent foreigners if they complete one of the three investment options:
- €250,000+ in real estate funds;
- €500,000+ in real estate;
- €1,000,000+ as a donation to a higher learning institution maintained by a public interest trust foundation.

A Hungary residence permit card replaces a Schengen Visa, allowing you to stay in the countries of the Schengen Agreement for up to 90 days within any 180 days.

Hungary is one of the countries with the lowest taxes. Income tax for individuals is levied at the 15% rate, and corporate tax is levied at the 9% rate.

Investors are allowed to work, be self-employed, or start a business in Hungary.
Access to international banks
Hungary residents can use the services of local and international banks. This includes opening accounts, storing savings, and transferring. To open an account, residents only need a passport and a residence permit card.
Opportunity to obtain EU citizenship
A foreigner can apply for Hungary citizenship after eight years of living in the country — five years with a residence permit and three years with a permanent residence status. A Hungary passport allows visa-free entry to 171 countries, including the UK, Australia, the US, and Japan.
